Default Floppy windshield

So I just ordered a new windshield but the one I had before(which broke) would flop around while driving and make a lot of noise. Anything you suggest during the installation of the new one to avoid this? I wanted to ditch it all together but it really does help out on those cooler nights and makes the wife happy

A modern cart windshield should have small grips or channels to secure it when folded. Perhaps these parts were missing from your old one?

No it had those. But it seemed like the windshield itself had too much flex so when it was folded down and you were driving the middle would wiggle quite a bit and cause some annoying squeaking. One would think the windshield would be slightly more rigid so a 15 mph wind from driving didn’t move it all over. Maybe that one I had was junk?

The cheap windshields are thinner and could act like you describe.

Looks like I’ll have to rig something up as I only paid $100 for this one so it’s likely a cheap one. I guess we will see

My EZGO windshield did a lot of flopping like described. I attached a square tube between the two struts toward the bottom of the windshield. I used double sided foam tape (3M VHB is the best) between the new horizontal brace and the windshield. It hasn't flopped since.
