high torque buggy
This cart is for sale locally. See pic.. Not sure what model, maybe G2/9? I want to build a cart that can be a tow vehicle for our 6,000 LB pulling tractor and to have fun just riding around on the farm.
I have spent some time on this site trying to learn about gas vs electric carts and am considering all options. Is this cart a good cart to start with for major upgrades of what I want? Do you all think I should just consider going the gas route and doing a clone or big block upgrade for what I am trying to do? Thanks in advance for your help. |

Re: high torque buggy
Find a series drive electric cart and outfit it with a high torque aftermarket motor, bigger speed control, solenoid, F&R, and cables running on 48v.
The G29 is a sepex drive cart with a notoriously weak motor. I would steer clear of this cart for your use. Find a Club Car DS (series drive) or Ezgo TXT Series |

Re: high torque buggy
I am thinking it is an older G2 through G9 Yamaha cart. Is it a “series” cart?

Re: high torque buggy
I see, not a G29 but a G2 through 9. So yeah it's series.
I see guys pulling race cars with built up electric carts but they weigh half as much as the tractor. I'm wondering if that is just asking too much? Are there other guys you know of who are using electric carts to pull their tractors? If yes what are they using? |

Re: high torque buggy
Most use a John Deere gator or equivalent UTV.
We have used an old gator with 12 hp motor. Just looking for something different. |
