Ok I bought a golf cart off of someone but we can’t fjnd a serial number anywhere. I am trying all I can to figure out what it is so I can get help but I can’t find this one on the sites.

I will attached photos that all I can.

We have it hooked up like the diagram shows but it’s burning up the post on my batteries.

I don’t know what could be hooked up wrong to burn battery post.

Start over with a new set of top cables (the ones on top of the batteries). Do NOT buy the type used on that melted cable, they are notorious trouble for golf cart use. There are repair tricks to try & fix your battery. Looks like you have a G-2e. You should have a aluminum tag riveted to the frame in this area. And I think the first 3 characters will be "J56"

Thank you so much for helping. It is dark right now I will look again tomorrow for the tag. This is the second battery it messed up so the cable was one from my old ezgo. What type do you suggest I buy? I don’t mind getting what I need. I will google and see if I can find the trick to fix the battery. Glad to know because they were new batteries.

Buy cables that don't have wires "smashed into the very end of the terminal" like that one does. It's easier to describe what not-to buy. Get cables with high strand count, and 6 Gauge is bare minimum size.
