Default Precharge resistor problem

My cart was working fine yesterday – I have a 200 amp solenoid and an Alltrax SR 48409 controller with all 4G cables.

This morning, I got on, and my controller was flashing one green six red, which means pre-charge resistor failure.

The resistor was very hot, so I figured maybe it had blown. I replaced it with another pre-charge resistor and it immediately became very hot and the same code is flashing.

What’s happening here? Something happened overnight because it was working last night and this morning after charging it’s not.

Thanks,
Luke

Never mind! I just figured it out. Water had gotten in the little area on the controller where the J4 and J5 pins are. It caused a short. A quick use of the blower and everything is working again.

Now I’m confused again (it doesn’t take much)

It’s doing the same thing again this morning, but there’s no water anywhere nearby.

If I mess with the FNR switch a lot, sometimes I'll hear the solenoid click and then release. The resistor is still hot and the error is still the same. (Pre-charge failure.)

The resistor is getting hot because the controller is on and calling for amperage and the solenoid is not closed... the precharge resistor which is designed to allow a very small amount of amperage through is being asked to power the motor.
There is a 4 wire connector between the foot pedal and the controller. This is a notorious trouble spot in wet locations. Eliminate the plug with soldered connections.

Is this tip for ezgos or Yamahas, I don't know of this trouble plug on Yamahas.

I don’t see such a plug... could this be a FnR issue?

My wires go from the pedal POT right into the SR controller. I’m thinking it’s an FNR switch problem? I don’t know. I’ve never had any problems before...
