Default Precharge Resistor

Can't find year of cart. It is a 36 volt cart.
Has bad solenoid. Solenoid does not have a precharge resistor.
Should I install precharge on new solenoid or are they not needed on this cart?

No Yamaha's had resistor's or diodes on the solenoid. Although the G8/G14/G16 electrics did have diodes in the wire harness. I'm no expert, but I believe the controller's took care of that situation.

CG posted what I thought was a good direct answer to my question.
Then post #5 confused me, I thought it was questioning CG's reply:
"I struggle with this answer but - ok."
SB, thank you for your direct answer.

My electric G8 has a diode in the harness. Itís not directly on the solenoid. You have to dig around for it.

I didnít have to install a resistor until I upgraded to an SR48400.
