Default 2013 drive and I believe

I have a 2013 drive and I believe the motor has given up on me. Is there a way to test to see if is indeed the motor.

I think it is because of these reasons

1. It has a alltrax 400 with upgraded solenoid on stock motor and cables. It has been running like that for over a year.

2. Recently when starting off slow I would get a faint clicking sound and it would go away once I reached a steady speed. That sound was coming from the area of the motor, but I never got to look into it. Now I do dog this thing out and it gets plenty of use to include log climbs up hill.

3. No matter the position of the tow switch there is no resistance when I try to push it. I dont know why this is, but you had to give it everything to move it an inch with the switch in run and the key on.

I was wondering if there is something to check to see if it is indeed the motor. When I hit the pedal I can hear the solenoid click, just nothing happens.

I have a multimeter I am just not sure what to check.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Ciao.

The stock Hitachi motor is pretty weak and it is easy to kill it with a higher amp controller. I learned that the hard way and I now have a D&D motor. I added a temperature probe to the motor near the brushes and the D&D runs nice and cool with the same setup that killed the Hitachi motor.
