Default Dead 2008 G29

Hey guys, I’ve had this cart for a year no issues at all. Wife drove it to a neighbors house parked it, went inside. When she got on it to go back home it just died half way out the neighbors drive way.
She said she didn’t hear anything or do anything out of the ordinary. Battery showed it was charged. I towed it home.
Batteries were pretty low on water so I filled them up and charged them.
Once it finished charging, I cycled the tow and run and I can hear the solenoid clicking twice. However, when I turn the key or hit the accelerator, nothing happens. No clicking, nothing. I toggle run/tow and just hear two clicks. Like it clicks on then off. I tested the batteries and they’re at 51-53 volts at the solenoid.
I tested the key switch and it makes continuity contact. I tried to check the current at the solenoid but it read 125 ohms?
Then I tried to bypass the solenoid to see if that’s what was wrong and the controller almost caught on fire when I hit the gas. I placed both red wires on one post.
There was smoke everywhere. I pretty much fried it if it wasn’t fried already.
Needless to say, solenoid still clicks twice but nothing happens.
I never took apart the floor board to check the accelerator stop switch.

Any help or advise?

I advise a new controller to start with. I think the controller was the original failure, and the solenoid bypass gave you the smoke trail to prove it. I have seen a failed Drive controller give the smoke show with the factory test equipment (which allows you to momentarily power up the solenoid from a remote button).
