Default Constant voltage to armature

I have a few tenths under my pack voltage constant at the armature with the key off. Is this normal? Any way to disengage this? I thought about pulling my positive to the solenoid, would the pack still charge that way?

Normal, the controller regulates B- to the motor. It's not drawing any power if the controller isn't providing the B- side to the motor. Your chasing your tail on that one.

Gotta follow the big wires. Armature posts are usually connected to the battery + at the M+ terminal on the controller.

Just because the potential (voltage) is there, doesn't mean any current (amps) is actually moving in the motor.

If you take a wire that's 40 feet long at attach it to the battery positive, you have battery voltage the entire length of the wire. But no current flows until you ground the other end.
