2009 48 volt cart. Don't know much about it other than it doesn't run.
My neighbor here at the beach house has been trying to work on it himself. He isn't much of a mechanic though. Asked me to look at it. I never seen a golf cart that didn't have wheel brakes. The only brakes it has are built into the rear end! ????? I'm thinking it's not unlocking when you start moving and it heats up and then the motor cut's the power off to the cart. Goes into thermal lockout because after it cools down it will start moving again. I haven't ever work on this kind of cart though so not sure. I can't find any info on it either. |

They are internal transaxle brakes in the rear and are a pain to work on. (I’ve done it) Does the cart roll freely? That would be the first thing to check. If not, there’s likely a problem we the pedal or cable.

Re: 2009 Yamaha
The pedal and cable move freely but when you drive it it's very slow and after about a minute it stops moving let it sit and cool off it goes again slow and some times it will go like it's suppose to and then bam it stops.

Re: 2009 Yamaha
When you put it in tow and push the cart by hand, does it feel like the brakes are providing resistance, or does it roll easily?

Re: 2009 Yamaha
I don't know I haven't tried that. I have limited time on it. I'm just trying to help a guy out, figure out what is going on with it.
Thanks I'll give it a try today maybe. |
