Default Torque increase G29 lifted

I have 2016 g29 with Madjax 6" lift. 14" wheels and 23" AT tires and original Trojans. Cart runs fine and cruises through neighborhood at about 14mph which is where 90% of the time it is used for. However, torque is very low . It only wants to run fairly flat ground.
What would be first thing to try and upgrade to get a little more torque?
I'd prefer to not have to spend tons on motor, controller, solenoid, etc.... What would be a good starting point to slightly increase torque for a pavement beater.

Have you checked your batteries. The cart should be able to do more than flat ground. If the batteries are good then I think an Alltraxx 400 amp controller is your next step. They’re a little pricey but worth every penny. You would not be disappointed.

When bought the cart three months ago the dealer told me he load tested batteries and i believe he said they were still at roughly 75-80%. i haven't personally checked batteries yet though. They last forever on a charge when we do a lengthy neighborhood booze cruise it just seems like it should have more " oomph" when taking off or when even going up a small hill on the golf course.
If you change a controller, do you have to change any other components? im new to the cart world so not sure of all the procedures.

i will check him out and see if there is something i can do. Just seems like the cart should have a little more get up and go.

The stock Moric controller (235a) is the smallest factory installed controller ever from Yamaha, it just can't do much.

Gotcha.... so maybe a 3-400a controller with the stock motor would work? Not really looking to run 20+ mph but a little more torque would be nice.

Yep, go with at least 400a, then start saving your money for a better motor. Your configuration will kill the stock motor in about a year.

Thanks. Will it still kill in a year if I’m running 95% Louisiana flat ground? I’m just thinking because in roughly a year I’m probably going to need new batteries. Gonna be a heck of a lot of money to get a little more torque between controllers, motor, and batteries!

With those wheels and tires, I'm afraid so.

And it will be a lot more torque, not a little more. About double, but will feel like more than double.
