Default 07 Yamaha YDRE 48V Throttle Issue

All - thanks for allowing me to be a part of the site, as it has helped me with many troubleshooting solutions in the past.

Cart - 2007 Yamaha YDRE Electriv 48V (4 battery setup)

Beginning of Problem - Cart started to "pulse" while riding, still moved fine, but speed varied. The next day cart would not move. All batteries are individually reading 12+ volts. At this time, solenoid 'clicks' when accelerator is pressed, but no movement from cart.

Fix Attempt #1 - I found a post here describing resistance specs for throttle sensor (0-150 Ohms at rest, ~5,000 at full throttle). Mine read 22,000 regardless of pedal position. So I ordered a Huskey throttle position sensor from amazon (JW2-H5885-00 Yamaha Throttle sensor), and installed yesterday.

Outcome of Fix Attempt #1 - Still no movement. When the solenoid would click when accelerator was pressed before, it does not click when new sensor is plugged in. However, it does click when the new sensor is unplugged and pedal pressed (indicating stop switch is likely good?). At one point (with new sensor installed) I pressed pedal, and lightly pushed cart, and it took off towards my chicken coop on its own, so I had to chase it down, hit the brake, and it stopped. I was unable to repeat this event (not sure why I tried).

I have the tools and adequate understanding of electrical systems and to address the issue, but was hoping to get some input from some more experienced folks. Also, if anyone has a good service/parts diagram source, and/or parts purchasing source, those recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance to all who reply.

I had the same problem with my 07 Drive. It was the foot pedal switch

Thanks LPnTX - I'll look into that promptly. Do you have any recommendations on where to order parts/get mechanical and electrical diagrams?

Do you mean the "stop switch", "Throttle Sensor", or another component i am unaware of?

Even though I can clearly hear the solenoid click, and click off, each time the pedal is pressed? (only when new throttle sensor is plugged in)

back at it, stop switch was not the problem. The new "husky" brand throttle sensor i purchased, upon a more detailed inspection, was incompatible with the existing harness, and was not allowing me to test other systems functionally.

Returning item, and buying OEM throttle sensor.

I know it's only been a few days.... Did you get a compatible sensor yet? My 2016 is having the same pulsing issue. I have replaced the speed sensor and have a throttle sensor on the way.
