Default If you were buying a new cart, which brand would you buy?

My 07 Drive took a dump on me this weekend and will barely move. In the 5 years I've owned it, it has been a PITA. Multiple electrical issues such as two failed pedal switches, burned up key switch, burned up power wire, etc. It has the white tag axle as well and rides like a tank even after replacing the rear shocks with supposedly softer ones. I'm at my wits end and looking for a new cart.

I had a 2001 G16 which I loved and never should have sold and also had a 1992 EZ GO which was a good cart as well.

I'm in the market for a good cart and not completely counting Yamaha out. I'm a golfer and looking for a cart that rides well and has speed 20 mph+.

What brand would you go with? My club has many members with Club Car Precedents and all seem happy with them. There are many who have Yamaha Drives and happy with them as well. I just got a lemon from the first year the Drives were made.

What cart would you buy?

I've got a 2016 RXV, my wife drives a 2006 completely rebuilt CC Precedent and my mother in law rolls on the Yamaha Drive2. Of the 3 carts, if your going electric I would go with a 2012.5 to I believe 2017 Ezgo RXV. It has much better suspension and rides better than the CC it also has much more efficient (more range) AC motor with the 235 amp programmable Curtis controller. To improve the speed and performance instead of replacing parts you just mail your controller to BobBoyce, coordinated via CGIcollector a week later it returns tuned to your liking. My RXV does 35+ mph on 20.5" tires, (converted to 58.4v lithium). Just know that you can never cut or tap into a RXV wiring harness or you can smoke test your very expensive controller. Unlike a traditional DC cart accessories must be run from an isolated auxiliary battery or voltage reducer.

Good hunting.

I personally prefer a club car. But I live near the coast and there is salt water around so a lot of the Yamahas and EzGos I see are rusted in half.

Good point about the frames. The Club Car DC motor system is also more familiar to many people. It can be upgraded and modified by the DIY'er at home without Bob's help. I do love playing around with the Alltrax...
