2015 New To me Yamaha G29 regen question

This is my second golf cart. My first was a Club Car Precedent electric which had regen and I seldom had to use the brake. When I let off it slowed down fast due to I guess the regen braking. I just purchased a 2015 Yamaha G29 and my question is when I let off on the pedal it just rolls free rather than slowing down like the club car. Is this normal for my cart. I was wondering if It doesn't have regen or is their an actual problem with the cart. Thanks in advance. Hope this all make sense.

It has to do with a cpu set up. A certified Yamaha Dealer should be able to change it for you.

So your saying probably not a problem but just a setting that can be programmed if I want more regen. I don't need that done but since I just bought the cart I wanted to be sure there wasn't anything wrong with it. I am a retired senior and just use it to run around the 55 plus community I live in so all paved streets.

Yep, adjustable by the yamaha dealer. There are 5 levels of regen to choose from.
