Default Question on my Alltrax install

Today I hooked up my new 500 amp Alltrax controller. I wasn’t sure how to mount the 400 amp solenoid so for just testing I left the original solenoid in. I believe it’s hooked up correctly but when I try to move the motor just kind of shudders. I realize the stock solenoid won’t work but thought it would temporarily just to check wiring. Does anyone know if the problem is just that of the stock solenoid. I will try and figure out how to mount the new solenoid tomorrow. This is my first project of this type. By the way the batteries are on a month old and completely charged. Worked fine this morning before I started. :(

What does the led on the controller do when you try to drive?
Also, what's led do when key is first turned on?

The led is green when the key is on. I will have to find someone to help as I live alone with no one around so cant check while driving. It goes go forward and revers but totally shudders and hardly moves. I will see if I can find someone to look at the led while I try and drive. Will this work temporarily with stock solenoid. Wanted to be sure that wasn't my problem.

Stock solenoid will work for testing. I was under the impression it didnt run at all (by first post). Not, runs in forward, but no reverse.

When I say run I mean it shakes and creeps ahead. Would take a minute to probalby go 2 feet. Ok light is green. When I push the pedal down it flashes red and creeps forward or reverse depending on what is selected. I am beyond confused now. another question. Taped to the power wired going to the solenoid there is a little box about inch long or so with 2 spade connectors connected to it. Not sure what it is. I know the 2 wires going to the solenoid are correct but the other wires also have larger eyes so they would go to the large power posts of the solenoid. Right now they are both connected to the large post on the in side of the solenoid. I called a few places on Saturday where I live and no one works on these type of problems. I am 70 and don't get around very well and need it go go to get my mail and other things so I am desperate to get it working again.

1. Did the cart run before the installation?
2. does the solenoid click when you try to go?

Please do not try to make the cart go for 1 minute or 1/2 a minute if it is shuddering not going. It's not going to suddenly be okay and damage may occur.

I've worked on carts for many years. Jack a rear wheel off the ground and use a stick or broom handle to press the gas. See if the controller LED throws a fault code.
Post some pics (no closeups please we all have zoom) Let us see the controller and solenoid in a few pics. Maybe we can see what is wrong

Yup I live in a 55 plus community but have always been interested in anything with wheels. I know not necessary but fun to do.

When you say error code do you mean more than just the flashing red light on the controller when I try and go. Do I need to hook it to my laptop? And yes it worked perfectly before I installed the controller. Since it's trying to move doesn't that mean the solenoid is ok. Hope the photos I attached are ok.

In the first picture adjust your location so the bar is not blocking our view of all the small wires.
And yes the red flashing error or fault codes are listed in your owners manual. The codes are meant to indicate why the cart is not going.
