Question To Buy or Not To Buy? Need to make a quick decision!

I have found a 36v. Yamaha. Not sure what year but here is the information...

"36 volts Golf Cart great to move from point A to B places, Handy Man special runs good, great battery, utility box, 2 seater, comes with charger and top".

Now I am a bit sceptical, he is asking $695.00 and it seams to be low for that model (?) abd he says he has worked on golf carts for 20 years.

Good Deal? Or am I right to be Sceptical?

Harder Question... Will I be happy with an Electric Cart?

Drive it and check it out. Check the battery negative post to check the age. 695 for a running cart with a working charger is a no brainer!

Could you clarify the "Check the battery negative post to check the age"?
Really new to electric carts.

On the negative post of Trojan batteries, you will see a stamp with a letter and a number. Example, today I had a cart in our shop (2000 Club Car) and the batteries had an E0, meaning May of 2000! Car was running the original batteries...
A = Jan, B = Feb, etc
number is last digit of year
