Yamaha G8E troubleshooting checklist
Greetings all.
I am attempting to troubleshoot a G8E for the first time and need a stepwise algorithm for this(if one exists). I checked each battery and there is about 6.2V in each. The white charger button is not depressed. When depressing the pedal, I can hear the solenoid click and occasionally when in reverse, the buzzer come on, but not always. I have a multimeter, but am not sure what to check in what order and what proper values should be in different conditions(i.e. key on/off, pedal depressed or not etc.) The 10A fuse is not blown. What next ? Thanks Mitch |

Not sure what your original problem is you are trouble shooting. Any more details?

Re: Yamaha G8E troubleshooting checklist
Oh, sorry. The pedal will not engage the motor at all when depressed. Neither forward nor reverse. At times, when in reverse, the buzzer will sound, but not always. Basically. I've a stuck unit!!
Thanks |
