Default voltage reducer installation

I have a 2004 g22e and want to install a 16v to 12v reducer for the head light kit. Does anyone have any ideas on where to install the reducer on the cart?
Thanks

If it's just for headlights you don't need a reducer. Just wire the lights in a series and hook them across 3 of the 8 volt batteries. They will get 12 volts that way.

Well that works, but not the best way as that causes equalization problems. Best method if your cart is 48 volt to use a 48 to 12 volt converter.

I have ordered a 48v to 12v reducer in exchange for the 16v to 12v. I was still wondering where the best place to mount the reducer would be. Thanks for the replies.

It really depends on the reducer you bought. Got a picture of it?

I disagree that the battery life will be shortened by wiring directly to the batteries. It may be true that a large current draw off an individual battery could cause a voltage imbalance compared to the other batteries. In the case of the golf cart headlights using 2 or three batteries on relatively low wattage headlights for short periods of time there will be no significant change in the condition of the battery.

Here is a picture of the voltage reducer I need to install on my G22E. Any suggestions? It did not come with directions so if anyone could help with that too.
Thanks
Troy

Hope this works. Went to For-Pars web sit and pulled up the number on your voltage reducer. It also had a wiring diagram. Hope the picture loads. Later Dave
