Yamaha G9 rear support bar
The two rear support bars are snapped in 1/2 at the bottom. Possibly from people riding on the roof, is there anywhere i can buy a new support bar? i noticed its one pice shaped like that---->|_|
right now when i drive it the canopy is moving all over the place and the bars are hammering on the back of my cart!! |

Re: Yamaha G9 rear support bar
Because they are so hard to come by I have had several of them welded (by professionals) only to break above or below the weld even with a insert.
The best solution I have come up with is this. Use 1" sq. solid aluminum bar stock 12" long. Drill the two mounting holes for the side pillar. Mill 4" down from the top to be press fit into the roof support, no bolts or screws. I can't remember the exact size of the inside but press fit is strongest. Bolt to pillar and align the roof support with milled area and cut the broken end square remove everything and press it or them if both sides together. I've done three this way and all are still going strong after several years. You might need to involve a machine shop to do the millwork but it will be worth it. |

Re: Yamaha G9 rear support bar
You could also try some 3/4 or 1" thickwall (underground) electrical conduit and bend you a new support.
They rent the hand held benders for next to nothing. Or if you know an electrician friend? |

Re: Yamaha G9 rear support bar
I ordered the exact support through Carolina Golf Cars for $48. They're out there but hard to find. They also had a couple of used ones, price unknown! Good luck!!
