Ele Yamaha bucking at start off
I had a new controler installed about two years ago on an older 36V cart an AX Altrax speed controler. The cart would buck on flat surface, brake off, at take off. They tweeked the controler or something and it worked great until about a month ago. It is bucking again. Reverse works great, smooth take off. I was told the company does not use programable controlers so there must be a screw some where in this controler I can turn to get the desired smooth take off. Or am I looking in the wrong direction. Anyone have any ideas or insight. Thnks

Make sure that your pedal box throttle mechanism is properly adjusted. I wish I knew the exact name for it, but you'll see what I mean when you get there - We don't get many Yami's in for service, but have had to do some adjusting there on occasion

It does so well in reverse!?! That is why I'm wondering if it is the cotton pickin' controler. Where is this throttle dohicky located under pedel or under seat?

Re: Ele Yamaha bucking at start off
At the pedal Most controller carts run 1/2 speed in reverse, so you may not be getting enough juice to notice the problem when backing up...

Re: Ele Yamaha bucking at start off
Sounds like your having a problem with your potentiometer (the pedal position sensor).. It has dirty contacts inside, and is causing this jerky takeoff your discribing.
I believe on the electric yamahas, the pot box is located under the floor boards. the center section around the pedals should lift up Btw what model of yamaha do you have? |
