Default Reverse is faster - G3 Sun Classic

G3 Sun Classic here.

When I ride in reverse the cart is faster.

I would like to know if this is normal ?

I like the way the vehicle runs in reverse.
The motor is smooth and goes uphill just fine for me.

So can the directions be reversed ?

OK so that would answer why it is faster.

Should I try to fool around with the motor wiring ?

If you really wanted to try turning it around so you ran in reverse to go forward........... you will need to remove the differential and swap it end for end and reinstall. I haven't done it but it may be possible..... you need to look at all the mounts and connections to decide if it is really possible
DAVE? Can he swap the gears?

First, has anyone "done" any work on your car? Wireing/batteries/solenoid's? I would check the wireing connections. Couldn't find a wiring diagrahm for the G3-e, but You should be able to use the G1-E as a guide. Looks like "F1" should go to the "reverse" solenoid. "F2" should go to the "forward" solenoid. "A1" goes to the accelerator board and "A2" goes to the 36 volt battery post. Hope that helps.

smallblock450sl it is wired correctly.

I have a G3-E manual.

DOOmsman it is electrical.

Because it is a DC electric motor shouldn't I be able to reverse polarity ?

Maybe the problem is my front/reverse controller ?
A short maybe ?

I just got back from a ride.
Went backwards and forwards up and down the same area.
The cart is so much better in reverse.

Now I'm on my 4th cycle of breaking in the batteries.

I got a cycle in today, I think all my wireing is correct I pretty good at spotting gerry rigging maybe these cart wil get alittle faster with more cycles, I duct taped up the back up beeper and put a piece of fome around it "my gerry rigging" its quiter for sure. Where did you get the G3 manual? Vince
