Default How to check motor on G9E?

I need the help of you electric cart guys! I just bought a 92 G9E cheap, and it's in good shape but the batteries are low and frozen. I'm assumming I need new batteries but before I spend any money on it is there any way I can test the motor and the possibly the F/R switch? I have the 36V charger also.

Okay, This is what I'm gonna try.
jump A2 and S2
jump A1 and S1
jack up rear of cart
with 12V deep cycle batt:
connect pos to A2/S2
connect neg to A1/S1
if motor is good wheels should go round and round ????
the only thing I can find in a search is for a G2 that uses F's instead of S

Is that it??? Is that all the Yamaha guys got for you Come on pick it up, Yami Dudes

Figure out is you have a series motor or a sepex motor... I have been told many times that I am not a yamaha guy but, if it is a series motor You can test for unwanted continuity and if it passes that test you can put 12 or 18v to it to see it spin....

You should have continuity between any F(S) and F or between any A and A but, never between any F(S) and any A terminal..... See voltage test below for series motors only. Good luck...

I'll have to search around to find a copy of the test.....
