Default Fuel Gage

Just replaced 6 new batteries. With old batteries, Curtis 900G worked great. With new batteries, after several minutes, indicator goes from full to recharge to bouncing between recharge and empty. Battery voltage fine. Has an 5 amp inline fuse, I can pull fuse and gage goes off. When I replace it, it indicates full for several minutes and then the process starts over. Cleaned everything, no change. If I pull the fuse when it indicates full, it stays powered up. Any suggestions?

Do you have it properly hooked up to pack voltage and not a lesser amount?

Retrace your battery leads and wiring for your gauge. They obviously weren't put back the way they were before. To have your gauge work with the fuse out means that your gauge is still receiving (+) and (-) without going through a fuse. Do you have the installation directions for your 900G?

Thank you gentlemen, there may be a possiblity that a wire may be on the wrong post. Into the 70's allows for such action. I'll do a little wire wringing and see what happens.
