Help - Blown Fuse
I have a 1992 Electric Yamaha G9. It died and all I can figure is each time I push my pedal it blows the 10 amp fuse next to the solenoid. My questions...What is the fuse for? Has any one had this problem? Is it a symptom for something like a bad solenoid? I am asking the question because where I live there are few golf cart repairmen and I don't mind fixing if I only know what the problem is. Thanks for your help.

Re: Help - Blown Fuse
It sounds like you have a wire grounding out.You need to check wires for a bare spot somewhere.

Re: Help - Blown Fuse
It could be blown diodes. There are 2 of them. You'll find them close to the fuse. Check with a continuity tester, if they have continuity they are out. Good luck!

Re: Help - Blown Fuse
I had checked for any exposed or loose wires but didn't find any. I did find one diode that looked like it was burned up and the other diode looked heavily corroded and it broke apart in my hand when I was messing with it. I am going to try to order two new ones and replace them. Thank you for your help and I will let you know if that fixes the problem

Re: Help - Blown Fuse
If you can check the continuity of those diodes, and it has continuity in them, that means it's bad, and it will definitely blow the fuse.
