Re: 36 volt yamaha dont run
We can both have fun with this... is it a resistor or controller cart?

Re: 36 volt yamaha dont run
Rarely a solenoid will make a clicking noise but not make the connection inside associated with the click.... you need to test this with the voltmeter to see if 36v is present at both big terminals of the solenoid or just jumper the solenoid with a short battery cable and see if it runs up on blocks or jack stands.

Re: 36 volt yamaha dont run
I'm getting old and feeble When I saw JH7 I was shure it was the first controller car Yamaha made. Then I did some research and the 1992 model was a resitor model. Like Scotty said check the solenoid and also see if the plastic arm and moving contact are damaged on the accelerator board assy. Let us know what you found.

Re: 36 volt yamaha dont run
ok i think i found the proble its in the charging receptical it has 2 10 ga wires to charge the batteries and 2 18 ga the red one brings power to the selinoid i guess its like a reed stwitch i jump it to the main positive and got the cart to move so i ordered a charging receptical the reciptical has like a cut off botton so when i jumped it it worked
