Default 2008 YDRE Brake Pedal Adjust?

Got a 2008 limo YDRE cart, it's got the newer braking system that is integrated into the differential, so no hubs. The brakes work really well but the problem is the pedal travel is too far, I need to be able to adjust the pedal travel but I don't see a way to do this on these carts. There does not appear to be any kind system to take out the slack like on most carts. Anyone have any idea?

If I remember correctly there isn't a way to adjust it. Don't quote me on that because its been a while. We had dealer come out and replace all the pedal assemblies on all of our YDRE's...supposed to have been some sort of recall or something.

Oh that's interesting. I wonder where I can find out about the recall.

Now that I think about it I can't remember if it was the throttle or brake pedal assembly. Whichever one it was they replaced the whole assembly. I haven't been able to find any recall info.

So my neighbor is works for Yamaha Golf cart division here in Newnan. He reports they have had many problems with cable stretch and that may have to replace the cable. I'll let you now.

Yes I would recommend the adjustment procedure first. The floor mat "reusable push rivits" may or maynot come out reusable Clean the area as best as you can (it's a collector of garbage), lube all pivot points of the brake/accelerator assy. You'll need a 14mm wrench to loosen the jam nut and to adjust the nut to get the pedal throw to were you like it. As per previous posts, there are problems with the "pedal group" and can be changed out under warranty (if it is still under warranty) but most were gas models that the accelerator pedal/shaft splines "stripped", not many electric cars (in my experiance). But I have seen "binding" of the brake pedal return and then the pedal assy should be replaced. Roady/Spriddle, you guy's were lucky...as I have to deal with, only change out as needed....No "Recall" total fleet replacement.
