Default G16 Motor swap

I just purchased a 98' G16 golf cart off a buddy that is all stock but has a 6" lift kit, 20" off road tires and 4 ga battery cables.
This cart doesnt have nearly the power im looking for so I just bought a new D & D motor. How hard is the swap in motors? The motor i bought from them claims to give 40% more torque.
I'm also looking into a new 500 amp speed controller, HD selenoid, diode, and limited slip diff. Can anyone else think of must haves for this buggie? Ive heard that I may need a HD F/R switch. Whats my best bet when it comes to getting the most torque and power out of this cart?
Thanks
