Hyundai Electric Cart
Is anybody familiar with Hyundai Electric carts? I have read that they use parts from a Yamaha cart in some cases. I am working on one for a friend and trying to troubleshoot for him. The pack has 38.2 volts, and I also have that at the large posts of the solendoid. It is a resistor cart and differs from my EZ-GO with a controller. The cart will not move at all and makes no clicking noises from the solenoid. Maybe the FR switch, and how do you test those with a volt-meter? Sorry about all the questions, just would like to get it going for him. If not then maybe I can just sell him me EZ sparky.

Re: Hyundai Electric Cart
Did some testing this weekend and discovered that it is not the solenoid. I believe it is the key switch by my testing. Is there any way to bypass the key and toggle the connection witha switch or just hard wire it? There are two microswitches after the keyswitch that are attached to the FR lever each with two wires on them. I can post some pictures if anybody thinks they could offere some advice. Thanks.

Re: Hyundai Electric Cart
Ended up being a microswitch that was malfunctioning. I have bypassed it and the cart funcitons fine now. Now time to find a microswitch that will fit into the spot where this one was at. I guess that I will not be selling him my EZ GO.

Re: Hyundai Electric Cart
I have some "NOS" Huyndai micro switch's. You looking for the f/r switch ones or the pedal stop switch? A picture would help.

Re: Hyundai Electric Cart
I am looking for one that goes on the F-R switch, specifically the one on the bottom of it. I do have a photo of the one that I am looking for. If you have one that would be great. I am having a tough time finding one around my area and I am not sure if I can permanently bypass it with a toggle or not.
Thanks again. |

Re: Hyundai Electric Cart
I will attach a couple of more descriptive photos. It does have 3 spade terminals on it. However only two of them were being used. One of the spades had two wires on it and the other had just one. Maybe it has been retrofitted in the past. I will post those other pics as soon as I get to work. Thanks for trying to help out.
