Default Re: Gas Engine ?

It was about $500.00 for everything.
If I was to do it again I would go with a bigger engine and a torque converter.
The bigger sproket did help low end but if I had a torque converter
It would have been even better.
I sold the cart cause I have no patience and need to move on to
The next project.

Keep it up man. I have an electric cart and everytime i look under it I wonder how hard it would be to convert. Hardest part is gonna be the sprocket on the rear axle. I know this can be done. Not sure how youll get reverse to work but good luck.

I would do another one, but I would change a few things like engine size
T/C, etc. there is a way to take a car starter and turn it into
A reverse motor. I just never tried it.

Alternator as a reverse motor sounds cool. Where I will be parking the cart I will definitely need reverse.
