Help diagnosing a G22

My G22 shut off and now will not run. It happened on a very slight incline (almost flat), when trying to drive away. The cart began to move, and then it just shut off. Here is what I have checked, thus far.

The battery pack is at 50.5 volts.

Each individual battery has between 8.5 and 8.2 volts.

I reset the tow/run switch. There was a clicking sound from the solenoid when the switch was flipped to the tow position.

I waited a few minutes before setting it to the run position, but no luck.

I checked the fuse near the solenoid. It is fine.

I jumped the solenoid and still nothing.

Either the motor or the controller makes a slight squealing or humming sound when the accelerator is depressed. After a few times of depressing the pedal, the sound stops completely. Resetting the tow/run switch will allow the squealing sound to return momentarily, until the accelerator is depressed a few more times. No movement in the cart what so ever is present at any time.

At this point, what is my next step to diagnosing the cart?

I guess I should have also noted; I tested the key switch and the F/R switch for continuity and they check out OK. I also inspected all the battery cable connections for corrosion or breakage and found nothing worth noting.

I am pretty much stumped. These "fancy electronic whirly-gigs" are more or less foreign to me. I knew I should have bought a gasser...haha

Would I be too quick to assume that the controller or the motor may be faulty? I'm kind of grasping at straws as of what to do here. If anyone has an idea, I am all ears. I would hate to replace a spendy part, and realize I have overlooked something.

Mine died right before I did the controller install. Come to find out it was a bad solenoid, one of the jumpers for the tow /run switch had lost contact inside the housing...

I jumped the larger poles of the solenoid, and it didn't work. I "think" that would eliminate the possibility of the solenoid itself being faulty, but I don't know for sure. I'll give it a closer inspection.

I'm sure there are other areas to look at before I start throwing parts at it. I just don't know exactly where to look or how to go about diagnosing them.

Sure could use some input from some of the more electrically inclined guys out there. I am all out of ideas, and the "cart guy" that I purchased my fleet from is hiding. He isn't returning any calls. I'm completely stuck at this point.

Got in touch with the guy I bought the cart from. he suggested that it sounded like the stop switch had failed....quick check of that and the problem continues. I removed the switch and used a jump wire to bypass it, no luck. I also checked the switch for continuity before reinstalling it. As far as I can tell, everything checks out with the exception of the motor and the controller that I am unable to diagnose. The only thing I am not totally sure of is the solenoid. I guess I will replace that first, then start throwing parts at it until I find the culprit.

Got your PM. Thank you for the info, smallblock450sl. Unfortunately, that wasn't it and we're still hunting for the problem part. I have a bad feeling it might end up being a controller.

It is out of my hands at this point. I shipped it off to the cart shop. I'll post what the issue was when we find out what is going on.
