no reverse
I just bought an older model yamaha golf cart I cant find the year or model number. I bought new batteries and installed them. The cart works great in forward but does nothing in reverse. It is an older model electric cart. Can someone please help

Serial number of your yamaha golf car might be stamped into the rear most crossmember, facing rearwards...right under the bagwell.
As far as the reverse issue...check your F/R switch contacts. |

I have since found out that my cart is a G1 1984 model. I found out which of the two solenoids is reverse I took off all of the leads going to and from it but it did not help. I will take the switch out and check the wires.
