another thought?
does the power to soleniod come from the controller or the battery side?
Can the controller be bad and car still run wwhen jumping the big post of the soleniod?

i made a mistake - this is a G14 series not G16
still the same problems.
I have traced all small wires from key - stop switch to soleniod and back out of soleniod to controller.
cannot find any issues with wires.

Did you check the wires coming from the charger recpiticle? Small red wire powers controller , so it has to have 36 volts. Jump small post 1 at a time. Black wire to ground ,red to 36 v ,to see if you get a solenoid click, if click see if cart runs.

Hey Guys - just came across this. I'm having the same issues with my G16. Worked fine when we drove it last (though we limped home on very low batterys). Parked and threw it on the charger. A day or two later - nothing.

I started digging into it and noticed the 36V solenoid had a loose and corroded terminal. Though I did not test to see of in would engage (click), it was in such bad shape I replaced it.

Still, nothing (no click). I dig deeper. I found that the red wire at the "charger plug in" came off in my hand out of the receptacle. I tested and saw that wire needs B+. So I re-connected to B+ bypassing the receptacle micro-switch. Nothing.

Tested back from those wires and it appears the accelerator switch seems to work.

Tested key-switch for continuity - works.

Tested solenoid by jumping it to B+ and worked fine.

Tested inline 10Amp fuse - OK

Checked diodes; first diode OK - second - not so much. One of the wires pulled out of the diode holder - also checked that diode and it appears bad.

I'm gonna order a replacement diode. Is there any other tests or switches I could be missing? I think I did notice a micro-switch on the F-R controller.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
