Re: yamaha g14
I wouldn't own an electric cart unless I already had a gas cart and wanted something more quiet for golf or hunting. I work for the biggest Yamaha dealer in the US we build and sell between 200 to 300 carts a month, the town I live in is around 85000 people and if you don't have a golf cart u will and if u won't u are part of the 1%ers... lots and lots of Golf Carts, everything is accessible by cart on paved paths, look the place up (The Villages). That being said I am one of 15 certified techs/mechs at the shop and we service around 50 carts a day, 6 days a week all year. People think that buying and electric cart will save them money or somehow pad their pockets... bologna. Any and everything aside from an annual service that u do on electric carts is stupid expensive, I worked on 3 electric carts today each one the bill was over 300 bucks. Good choice on gas!
You might need to do some fabricating to fit the sled engine, but it should fit, have you tried to find any used engines? Usually converting a cart from electric to gas gets expensive if you don't have cheap resources to pull from... it might be worth considering selling ur electric and finding a cheap Yamaha gas cart, let me know if u need help with which ever route you choose |
