Help with yamaha

I have a 2001 yamaha 36v electric..

Customer has done some of his own work.

Car originally did not run in reverse, now runs neither.

here starts my work.

Motor was not passing external test, so I repaired a set of brushes and had amature turned. Motor is now fine (that i know)

Car still does not run..

Solenoid is stuck in the on position.

Any help would be appreciated, I am going to dive into it hard tomorrow, but Yamahas are not my expertise.
