Default Speeding up the "Drive"

Without a Yamaha dealer within reasonable distance from my location, what are my options for speeding up my cart? Is there reasonably priced control boxes or a motor swap? I am not looking for a huge increase just a little so when I get on the road it doesn't feel like I am crawling. Thanks.

Wink Re: Speeding up the "Drive"

You can send the motor to PQ for about $300 and get more speed and torque. If you go to 48 volts it will open it up nicely!

Andy, I think the Yami Drives are already 48 volt? I read somewhere that you could play with the regen settings but it might require a dealer.
Otherwise, the PQ option is a good one.

Sounds interesting, factory controller and that speed. I have looked at "PQ" and that seems reasonable. Any other suppliers for your recomendation. Only thing I don't like is having to send my motor in as a core to get the new one. This time of year hate to be without the cart for over a week.

Give Don Plowman a call. He has worked wonders on the older G-16-G-18 and he is now doing some great things with the Drive. Pull up the Sponsers list and look for Dons new website
