Default 92 G9 pinched motor wire

I got a friends electric G9 that they were driving one day with two on the back, it stopped running and he found they had pinched one of the controller to motor cables between the motor and frame.
It hasn't run since and what I know about electric carts I can hold in my hand.
Did I fry a controller or can someone point me to some things to test? Thanks, Mitch

Wow not sure how this got missed,

Mitch get a volt reading of the battery pack and see where it's at, might need to charge them, need to replace that cable and see if the solenoid will click when you press the go pedal. but that short with a battery cable to the controller, could of took out the controller.

Where's crash?? Haven't seen you lately. Not sure how this post got missed. I know about as much about electric carts as you do crash. Sure sounds like something is shorted out. Maybe these electric guys will chime in here.

check 2 small black diodes in wire harness next to controller, check glass tube older-style automotive fuse. replace pinched cable, if still no run, controller is done. controllers dont like that kind of fooling around with the big cables!
