Default G29 - Reverse Alarm Removal

Does any one know how to remove the backup alarm on the G29?

I wouldn't remove it due to a safety issue. I would suggest taping it up so it's not as loud. The alarm should be under the cowl new the top of the firewall. I wrapped electrical tape around mine several times and it really helped.

Actually after looking it is quite simple to do.

Remove 3mm hex screw in the drink holder (rear center above the F/R switch), lift out the cup holder. Now lookin in the opening on the cross member above the rack and pinion, look for the buzzer on the underside of the member. The buzzer is held in place by rubber strap, remove buzzer from strap. Then disconnect the buzzer at the grey two pin connector pinching the tabs and separating the connector. Walla done.

For those safety conscious, fill buzzer with silicone and re-install. This will reduce the the sound by 50%.
