Default Yamaha G19E Speed

Hi there!
I'm new to this forum, so I would like some help with my 2002 Yamaha G19E golf cart. I bought it a week ago. The previous owner has put new batteries in. So, whenever I go downhill with the throttle, it seems to slow down by itself. And I also did a kind of a drag race with his cart, and his cart was dramatically faster than mine! I spent two hours searching on the net, but I found some information about the governor. How do I disable it?
Thanks! Hope i find some help with you guys! :)

Welcome! Your probably feeling "regenitive braking or Anti run away" feature kick in going down hill. I don't recommend disconnectiong the motor sensor, you'll loose anti runaway and regen features, and the controller was build to use them as inputs for running. There are some replacement motors that will bolt up and get you about 23 mph with the stock controller, but you will loose some torque (hill climbing capability). Good luck with your new toy PS, we'd love to pictures of it!

Thanks! People also say that I should take it to the Yamaha dealership and see what they can do. Although I think they do it for money. Sorry for the late reply
