Do Alltrax controllers work with newer model YDRE carts?
Looking to pick up a new 2012 or 13 cart and I want to make it go fast but Im not sure about how compatible the Alltrax controllers are with them. Does anyone know which model I would be looking at and if they are even compatible? I dont know too much about the Yamaha carts compared to EZ GO and Club Car but I like the looks of the new ones and they have pretty beefy front ends stock. Any input would be appreciated

Call Alltrax to be 100% sure but I do not think they offer a control for that cart.

I called and it looks like they dont...that really sucks. If they dont have one I doubt anyone else will have one either. Is there anything else I could do for speed on these carts? Its the Drive model btw

FSIP makes one... 500 amps is about $600. (if I remember right?)
You need to upgraded solenoid and cables too. |

Thanks for that info. Does an upgraded solenoid need a resistor? The current stock one doesnt have one.....

Re: Do Alltrax controllers work with newer model YDRE carts?
Yeah, we don't have anything for the YDR carts yet. We haven't been able to make it work successfully on the DCX controllers because of the TPS it uses. The new XCT controller that we are coming out with next year will work on the YDR carts and have a native connector. No more adapter boards!

Re: Do Alltrax controllers work with newer model YDRE carts?
We have built a new drive with an Alltrax controller but we had to changed the wiring harness to a G22 harness and fabricated the G22 TPS switch to work on the drive pedal assembly. I will say it did work just fine. Before we built this we did order a new drive from the factory with a G22 harness so we could but a Alltrax controller on there. So you might want to ask your Yamaha Dealer about this.

Re: Do Alltrax controllers work with newer model YDRE carts?
I picked up a refurb FSIP 500A for less than $300 which includes the wiring harness that goes from original 26 pin to 23 pin on new controller. Very simple to install but I had to fabricate a new mounting plate because the new controller is almost double the size and the mounting holes dont line up.
