Default Battery meter

Hi,
I'm new to the golf cart world! Need some help, how do you read the standard golf cart meter/ meter with red led lines , how can you tell how much juice you have left? How many lines is half way discharged ? All most out of juice?should I change it over to the digital read out like on Scottie's cart page?
Thank you!!

The LED bar meter resets to 100% at the end of each charge. It is in accurate, Take a meter and check for yourself. By the time one bar drops you need to recharge.
That is why I started using the digital meters. Then the quest was on to find a meter that could hold up to industrial abuse. It's water proof, shockproof, reverse polarity protected and accurate as can be.

Hi,
Right now my cart has the stock led meter, the digital meter you all sell, will it work on my 2009 Yamaha 48volt system? How hard is it to install? Do I just unplug the stock one and plug in the digital one. What size wires do I need if I need longer wires to hook up? Sorry to a pain!!!!! You are a big help.
Thank you

Hi,
Went to cart unlimited, I see the digital meters! What face plate would work best with my stock led bar meter? Rounded corner or classic oval? Is for a 2009 Yamaha. And the digital meter will work on a 48 volt system?
Thank you!!

No problem, the meter will run on the same wires you have already at your meter. I am reasonably sure you will have to change the connectors and you may have an extra wire left over from the old meter.
My meter is a simple 2 wire connection. It has reverse polarity protection so no harm is done if it is accidentally connected backwards.
Here are the basic install instructions and the state of charge chart you will be comparing your actual readings to.
