aiming head lights on a drive
The head lights are so bright people in cars are blinking their lights at us. Is there a way to adjust the lights?

Re: aiming head lights on a drive
If you have factory "The Drive" headlites, yes there are adjustment screws to adjust them. The problem is, if the factory brackets were used for the install they can be a pain to take off and reinstall (for the adjustment purposes). We do not use the factory brackets, we use some nice black torque head screws thru the basil from the front (top and bottom edges) to alow for easy adjustment and bulb replacement if needed. Good luck

Re: aiming head lights on a drive
First let me thank you all for your quick responses.
They are factory lights, at least they were installed by a Yamaha dealer and they look like all the other similar lights I see on Yamaha carts. For my recent birthday my son had a few things done to my cart as a surprise. He had turn indicaters and brake lights installed. He had 20" tires put on it, so I assume he had it lifted. He also had a rear seat installed but I do not know if heavy duty shocks were installed or not. He had all of the work done at a different Yamaha dealer than the one I purchased it from. He also had a few other things done, radio, steering wheel and fender flares, but I don't think those would affect the aim of the headlights. The radio works well but even though it is very solidly attached it rattles so he is going to have the installer address that defect. I hope to have the lights adjusted at the same time, but would like to know how to do it myself in the future. I had no idea how bright they were until the other night when we were out and all the approaching cars kept blinking their lights at us. They are much more effective than the lights on my old EZgo. Again, thank you for your help |

The lights on my 2013 have the same problem. Just by looking I haven't found how to adjust them but will have to do something when warm weather gets here.

Re: aiming head lights on a drive
They only adjust up and down. You have to take the entire assembly out. There are screws on both sides of the light to loosen and adjust lights. You can try to get to the holes with an extremely short screw driver from inside the front cowl. I just unhooked the power wires and took the assembly out to adjust. It is a pain with the factory brackets.
