Default New Guy, New (old ) Cart need Id please

I know it's a Yamaha But I cannot determine model.
Just had to rewire the headlight harness as the one in the cart was
Melted. There were a few other questionable wires that I replaced. They ran from a switch at the end of the throttle rod to a solenoid on the rt rear inner
fender. I cannot figure out what these wires are for and if I have them installed correctly.
If I could find a wiring schematic that would help
Here's the numbers from the frame rail

TIA

Serial says its an 86 G1-EM but its not clear to me whether its a G1 or G2 because there is no schematic available for an 86 electric yami G1 on their site only a G2. Here is the G2E schematic. Check it and see if it looks similar.

Sounds like a aftermarket "high speed" set up. I'm no expert ,but they were desighned at "WOP" to activate the solenoid and give "extra" power to the motor. Now where they'd get it from..I don't know. Good luck Dave

Dang Roady....Is there anything you don't know about electric golf cars? I will never own one, but if I did and had a question...You would be the first one to contact! If you need a wiring diagram for a late model Yamaha G1E, they were all the same from 1983/1984 to the end of production in 1988/1989 I beleive. Later Dave

I to have a Yamaha electric that I can't ID. I know it is a 36 volt G8 but the model number is not listed anywhere for a G8. The model number is JF3001761

According to the "Buggies Unlimited" catalog, your model is a G8EF. Everything with model numbers JF3000005 to JF3100100 is a G8EF.

PS- just joined. Great forum!
