Parking Brake Wont Engage on 2008 Yamaha Drive
I just bought a 2008 Yamaha Drive with rear seats, lights, horn, windshield and got a pretty good deal on it. Initially the parking brake would set but now it wont. Does anybody have any idea on what I can do to fix this? I also get the random solenoid hum, but based on some other posts that is nothing to worry about? It will even click on and off when the key isnt on. Let me know!

Re: Parking Brake Wont Engage on 2008 Yamaha Drive
The floor mat will pull up and you can take the plastic fasteners out. Under the mat is a metal plate that also lifts off to allow access to the brake and throttle pedals. It is pretty easy for loose debris to get lodged in this void. It could be your problem.
