G9 yahama electric
I just got a Yamaha cart gave to me. in attempting to see if the cart will operate I have installed temporarily 3 12 volt deep cycle batteries. when I turn the key on the motor tales off and when the excel pedal is depressed it shuts off. like it is working in reverse. can anyone suggest what to check. thanks.

I have now changed the ignition/on off switch with a brand new one. I thik it is a G9E model. any help would be appreciated..

I usually tinker only with CC but in my last trade I picked up a G8E. My first time with a Yamy. I've ordered the service manual which will be here in a few more days. I've torn it almost completely down and have started the process of dealing with the many issues.
I'll jump in and offer my thoughts. You need to first find the serial # so you can be sure of exactly what you have (this is important). Then I suggest getting the Service Manual (these are very handy). Use it to ID components, test components and ID stuff that isn't stock. Post some Pic's...it's your thread |
