Yamaha G22E Charging
I have a 2006 Yamaha G22E electric golf cart. The cart is working and up and until a few days I was able to charge.
When I plug the 48V Yamaha charger in the charger flashes 3 times and then shows a green 25% light but does not charge Also when I plug the charger in the ac power I see no light on the panel. I am not sure if this is a battery issue or charger issue and any help would be appreciated |

Re: Yamaha G22E Charging
More info about charger please. Dpi? MAC? (both were available new from yamaha) Green 25% led? Most chargers reserve the green led to indicate it is 100% done charging.

Re: Yamaha G22E Charging
When this charger is first plugged into cart, it should flash all lights, then sequence all lights, then the relay should click, the second from bottom yellow light comes on, and one of the top three should come on to indicate how close to done the charge process is. When complete, all lights should turn off but the green one.

Re: Yamaha G22E Charging
Plug something else (i.e. Lamp, drill, ect.) into the 110v outlet you are using to operate the charger to ensure the 110v outlet is working.

Re: Yamaha G22E Charging
Thanks for the info. The power point or wall outlet is working. Also the charger lights flash but the charging shows 25% with no charging. Buggy is not fully charged.

Re: Yamaha G22E Charging
Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it. There is no white button
Here is a picture of the front of the charger as you can see there is something on top of the power outlet that says 230 and also note as advised earlier the 25% is lit up after initializi g but it does not chargechargerfront 1.jpg chargerfront 2.jpg |

Re: Yamaha G22E Charging
I see, you have a 220v model? The plug shown and the indicators are slightly different than the models i have sold/used/repaired (and i have seen a bunch). If no circuit breaker, you will have to open it up and check the relay for input and output power. Probably getting nothing out of the relay. Also, the company who built the charger (Motor Appliance Corp.) Is on the internet. I have called them in the past, you can too, they were very helpful to me. Overall, i have used Many of those chargers, and i consider them to be a good charger (but some of the parts can be expensive). If you are overseas (or otherwise unable to contact american phone numbers) i can look an email address too. Post more pics from inside charger, i will circle where to check for power and re-post the pics.
