Default Drive: Plum Quick upgrade

Does anyone have experience with the motor upgrade from plum quick with a stock controller? Wanting something to improve torque and top speed. Closest yamaha dealer is 100 mile away.

Wish I could say "you'll be Ok", but I can't. The Moric controller is very low amp rated "265 as I recall" You could always run it till the controller fails (there not rebuildable, not form Yamaha or anyone else I know of) then install a GE controller. GCtech and CraigTN have more experiance with "sparkies" then I do, so they may be able to help. Good luck

You can upgrade the motor on your drive. But I would highly recommend turning your cart up to level 4 (Personal Use) first . That may be enough power for ya. I talked to Robbie at PQ about my drive. They are just up the road from me. They are gonna go thru my motor. I'm gonna run it on the stock controller till it goes then do a swap. On my 23" tires I should be running in the 27-28 mph range. - Mayor

So is there a plug and play, motor and controller setup available for the Drive? At a reasonable cost. Thanks

Not that I know of. I keep hearing rumors that they are. Hopefully soon there will be more options for the Drives. -Mayor

FSIP has a controller plug-n-play, i am not impressed with it. I like my Alltrax conversion better, but its not plug-n-play.

Order a DCX with a PDS adapter, so you have a nice plug to use. Cut and splice the end of the harness. Add a 5v source for the throttle. If you have not done some alltrax conversions, and dont have a YDRE wiring diagram, i dont suggest trying this yourself. If i could get some plugs, i would already be building them plug-n-play.

Looks like the plug on the controller with the harness unplugged. I actually attacked a bad controller with a sawzall and a chisel to "harvest" its plug, made a real big mess.
