Default Alltrax -VS- OEM?

Thinking I need to replace controller as all other component tests checked out OK.

I'm keeping my '95 G14e stock, I only want to use it for yard tinkering and the kids to go visit neighborhood friends.

I found after much surfing an OEM for $600+ and alltrax for $300+ so...any opinions or guidance on alltrax -vs- OEM, or any others that would work? - Pete

I would take the alltrax. In my opinion it would be less of a failure risk than a used/rebuilt oem one. Plus, you can upgrade to 48v if you choose. For just about any dc application, the alltrax provides good "bang-for-the-buck".

You will need two extra parts not included. I only know them by their "nivel part numbers" #409 & #411, diode and resistor (less than $20). Some may say "that resistor is not correct", but it will do fine, and is better than nothing. The alltrax controller comes with instructions/wiring diagram. You will need to cut some wires and put common spade connectors or ring terminals on them. You can buy the controller/parts from BGW supporter "scottyb" www.cartsunlimited.com and avoid the nivel jip-joint, nivel is aimed towards the crowd who knows how to do it already without tech support (but they wont tell you that). I cut the small "control" wires near the controller, and use the stock harness wires.
