Re: best buy for 48v dc reducer
I put an extra deep cell in the middle of my battery compartment. It runs my stereo and lights and auxiliary power outlet. I just hook the regular battery charger up to it once a week depending on use and keep it charged up. Easier on my new pack of Trojans that way!

I have a 10amp from eBay that's running my lights and stereo with no issues.

Re: best buy for 48v dc reducer
Remember Wattage/Voltage=Amperage, so two 55w halogen headlights divided by 12v pull just over 9 amps...

Re: best buy for 48v dc reducer
Your math was correct! I dont know your expertise background, i'm just saying this is simple math. If you want to school me, i'm always willing to learn. Anyone who "knows it all" cant be educated of anything. My post was a joke, don't take it wrong. Im no engineer, although i have built lots of stuff that "didnt exist". I do this for the love of "building". That is why i love my job (most of the time). No challenge intended.
