Default Headlights quit working, tail lights still work. Help

I brought my 2008 Yamaha drive up to the lake for the summer last weekend. Everything was fine. I got up there and went to turn the headlights on and they don't work. The side markers and tail lights worked and they are wired in series from the switch to the side markers to the tail lights. I traced the wiring everything is hooked up. The weird thing is that BOTH headlights are out. I didn't have much time to dig into it but I am heading up tomorrow and looking for anyone with any ideas on what happened? I don't really see both bulbs going out at the same time but it may be an option. I plan to bring a voltage meter to test the wires at the headlights but I am at a loss? not sure what the hell happened. Advice please!

That is strange, as you are running an extra battery solely for 12v stuff right? Probably not a voltage spike...

Are you running a dc/dc convertor? Oem or aftermarket convertor?

Usually when the oem one fails, it sends full pack voltage. 48v destroys any 12v device it touches instantly (most stuff cant withstand 4x intended amp consumption). So , are the bulbs fried, or getting no voltage?

I thought the card with the headlights installed so I honestly do not know what is going on or what it has installed. It is weird that the side marker lights in the rear lights still work though wouldn't they all have been fried. Where can I check on this converter or what does it look like

Remove headlights and check the bulbs. Turn light switch on, and chech for voltage at the headlight wires.

finally checked it out this week. getting 24V to the headlights. fries the bulbs. I replaced a bulb and hooked it up to my 12V deep cycle out of the boat and they worked. Why am I getting 24V at the headlights now? it fries my bulbs and they are 9 bucks a piece. I only burned one more out when I was testing it this weekend. I am contemplating just buying a 12V deep cell to run the lights since I don't know what is up with the voltage being too high now. Any ideas? Can I get a small deep cell? I only run the lights a bit at night so wouldn't need too much power. can I use something like a riding mower battery or better yet, why am I getting 24 V to my lights now? is my reducer shot?
