G16e is going dead after stopping and trying to accellerate

Hi everyone new to the forum allthough ive researched and have been helped many times by other questions. Here is my problem. Over the winter, with the help of Scottyb, i upgraded my cart. New spm 500 controller, HD Solenoid, HD f and r contractor, custom d and d motor and 2 g cables through out. Everything has been running great for the past two months but lately when i take trips and let off the accelerator and try to accelerate again i get nothing. it is somtimes very intermentintly. Talked with Scotty b about it and after testing the solenoid thought that was the problem put new one on and its doing the same thing. Now im not sure where to start this is a 36v G16. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks

I have the same issue on occasion with mine as well. I have replaced everything with all upgraded parts that are brand new. What F&R switch did you use? Scottyb hooked me up with a EZ-GO HD F&R switch that used a 1989-94 center pivot shaft. I am wondering if there might be a issue with modifying it to these carts because when it happens to me I move the shifter to reverse and then back to forward and it works with no issues.

Check out the LED indicator when it is not working, press the pedal and count the flashes (if any). Be careful, dont want this thing running away. Indicator will flash throttle.type, then any error codes present. The SPM manual has a full list of what they mean.

I have the reversing contractor with a rocker switch. I also looked for any codes to come up on my controller it flashes green four times signaling it's receiving the yamaha throttle and then stays green meaning it's operating fine. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the stop switch under the pedal or maybe the rocker switch for my f and r

Just to note I did it against a wall and tested it when it wasn't working

After talking with Scottyb and doing every test I sent the f and r contactor back to Scottyb for testing. He found it passed after 50 cycles then failed for two. He is sending me a new one so hopefully everything is well. Thanks Scottyb for all the help and great customer service
