Default Yamaha G29 charger

I have a yamaha charger I got with my 2013 g29 cart. The model number is JW9-82107-01. First off, is this the DPI charger and since I have looked everywhere it seems, does anyone know where I might find an owners manual for it?

I have learned a few things about this charger that I thought might be useful to pass on. I recently installed a digital volt meter in the dash so I can monitor what the charger is doing. When you first plug it in, the red light comes on then the orange light blinks momentarily then goes steady. Shows that it's charging properly. Voltage continues to climb to eventually around 62 volts. After a few minutes the fan comes on. After a few hours the green light starts blinking. After a while longer the green light turns solid and shortly afterward the red and orange lights turn off. According to the cart owners manual the charge is finished at this point. At least on mine this is not the case. After the green light went solid and the other two lights turned off, the voltage stayed up at the 62/63 range. The voltage stayed there for a long time (can't remember how long but a long while) so to me the charger was not finished at this point. After a while the voltage started dropping pretty quickly until 54.4 volts then slowly continued to drop to 51.1 volts where it stays.

What I am trying to say is that, at least on mine, when the green light goes steady it doesn't mean that the charger is quite finished. On the outside of the charger it says it is a charger/maintainer so I have been leaving mine plugged in when I am not on the cart.

Any thoughts?

Yeah, my thoughts are DPI chargers dont have a fan.....or a Jw9 part number. You have the Yamaha charger, not the dpi charger. You dont want the manual, it is what i call a "chinese comic book", This is a very poor interpertation of a book or document that was originally written in chinese. It references things like "be sure to hook alligator clips to the correct battery terminals". The manual is a joke.

Thanks cgtech. Is this charger generally a good one? As much as it retails for it should be!

It is fairly new, so time will tell. The yamaha built charger this one replaces was junk. We order all our yamahas with a DPI charger from the factory, side-stepping this whole problem with junk "high frequency" chargers. If it were me, i would not want that charger, or any of the "high frequency" junk out there (Powerwise QE, im looking at you). Stick with a real transformer-based charger, at least if those ever need repair, they can be repaired.
